“The gym: The mats are consistently cleaned, the bathrooms are tidy and there’s even a shower available. Hygiene is taken seriously and there are several hand sanitizer stations available. Parking is easy. Enough free weights to meet all your strength training needs and an assault bike as well. The staff: Respectful and attentive. If you’re new they will make sure to tailor your training experience so that you go home not only in one piece but with a smile on your face. If you’re a more exper”

“This is the best gym I've ever trained at. Above all else, the people are what make this gym special. The coaches are of different ranks and grappling styles, which, together, provide a comprehensive coverage of grappling knowledge suited for students of all types. They are protective of students and are always available for questions. The other students are always respectful and mindful of working at an intensity that is most productive for both you and them. “Dropped in to the Sunday open mat at the invitation of my friend Alex who trains at BSF. Great experience. Very good technical jiu jitsu. As an older grappler (52 yrs old) I have to be careful about who I pick as a training partner, but everyone I rolled with at BSF gave me a really good technical and hard round without ever making me feel I was at risk of injury. Great place. I plan on dropping in to Sunday open mats at least once a month en now on.”

“ive been training here for about a year and there is literally nothing to complain about. facilities are super clean, instructors are really skilled and good at prioritizing safety, and training is always challenging but fun. everybody here is super nice and approachable, and the blue and upper belts are always happy to give pointers and help newcomers learn. im gonna hate leaving this gym when i graduate college”

“Was in the area and dropped in for a 1pm no-gi class. It ended up being sort of a workshop/lab. We worked on berimbolo and the instruction/tips were great. A lot of details clicked for me. Went back for no-gi rolling that evening. The mat was full, energy was great. I dont think I had any easy rolls. I left beat up and happy. If you are in the area definitely stop by. Great gym and great people.”
